Absolutely wonderful! Chef PJ was truly amazing! He gave us a great understanding of French culture and food. He was fun, witty, and welcoming. We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting as it is a great way to experience the truly local side of Paris/Montmartre and a great way to see this part of Paris.

An outstanding tour - thank you PJ My original booking had to be refunded as the other group due to attend the same day as me had cancelled. No sooner had I got notification of my refund, Chef Tours told me another group had booked so I could book again if I was still interested. I am so grateful to the new group's last minute booking because it turned out to be such an brilliant day. As others have mentioned, PJ is a Montmartre local and the pride he has for his neighbourhood and the people in it really shines through. His knowledge of food and its part in the history of Montmartre was excellent and we were treated like old friends by the end of the tour. If only there was a 2x5 star rating as I can't recommend this tour highly enough. If you are looking for an offbeat food tour, don't hesitate to book with PJ. Bring energy in your legs, hunger in your belly for food and in your brain for knowledge. You won't regret it.

5-Star Tour from a 5-Star Guy! My wife, sister and brother-in-law had an amazing time with PJ. I can’t recommend his tour highly enough. It isn’t a conventional food and wine tour, because PJ isn’t a conventional guide. His passion for Montmartre and his pride in being a local shines through. He has a genuine affection for the neighbourhood and seems to know everyone! We visited bakeries, wine shops and butchers, and PJ’s knowledge of the quality and provenance of the produce was both impressive and fascinating. If you’re looking to meet a "real character" as we say in Scotland while enjoying exceptional food, wine and company, look no further.

An incredible tour! Chef PJ’s food tour was the best tour we have ever been on. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area and the food. The tour lasted 7 hours and culminated in an amazing dinner at his restaurant. It was non-stop food, drinks, stories and laughter.

Incredibly unique and outstanding experience! Chef PJ makes you feel like a close friend as he invites you into the culture and history of Montmartre. He is an excellent storyteller who keeps you entertained and educated from the very beginning. You learn how Montmartre is uniquely set apart from greater Paris and how food has shaped its cultural history and the history of the greater world. After a walking tour, PJ then brings you to his restaurant and cooks you a private meal that includes an education in wine tasting. We could not have spent our last day in Paris in any better way. PJ is one of the most interesting people I have had the pleasure of meeting. This is an experience that you will always remember as very special!

More than a food tour – an day & evening to remember We joined PJ's food tour in a group of three couples (and one really great boy of around 6/7 years) — two American and us from the Netherlands — and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our Paris trip. PJ starts off quietly and lets the group find its rhythm, but it didn't take long before his genuine, infectious passion for French cuisine took over completely. What followed was a wonderful crash course in everything that makes French food culture so extraordinary: the cheeses, the bread, the charcuterie, the wine — each with fascinating stories and little-known facts that made every bite taste even better. After wandering through 'his' neighborhood — and Montmartre truly feels like his neighborhood — the evening continued at his restaurant, Le Petit Moulin. The food and wines where great, but what made it truly special was the atmosphere. By the end of the night, it felt like we'd known each other for years. We will absolutely recommend PJ to anyone visiting Paris. PJ, thank you!

Chef PJ is your personal guide to culture and food My wife and I met PJ across from the Moulin Rouge in the montmartre district. PJ was our personal guide who immersed us in the culture and history of this part of Paris. We visited 3 different bars for wine and drinks and met many of the locals that live and work in this area. We then went to 2 different restaurants where we had the most delicious oysters, escargot, and other food prepared by PJ. Most fun was sitting with 4 of PJ's local friends and sharing a large tray of the best raw oysters we ever had. We spent a good 4+ hours and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this if you are visiting Paris.
